tonite i'm thinking particularly about the team. and i'm lifting each one up before our papa. for anna, peace and comfort as she grieves the passing of her grandmother.
for c.e. as she is the guardian for my children as i travel with my husband to mexico. . . guardian mercies for her!! bless her generous heart and give her focus where she needs it.
for b.d., i am thanking you for her easy smile and her earnest heart and hope that she feels comfortable with the group.
for b.c., i thank you that she had the courage to decide to go and i thank you for her willing heart! encourage her as she journeys toward our adventure!
for b.j., i thank you for her humor, for her love for others and for her excitement!
for k.c, i lift up her sweet spirit to you, and ask that you continue to bless her and her precious smile, a window to her heart.
for m.b., i ask you to hold her very closely and whisper how precious she is into her ear. may she feel your guiding hand upon her shoulder!
for us, i ask that you knit us together, help us care for one another, to be an encouragement to one another, and help us to have a heart for learning. papa protect our team from the enemy, guide our steps and help us to be mindful of our words.
we ask this in your sons most awesome name!

new beginnings
as of february 6 we have a new china team.
six newbies and two veterans… yikes and funness all at the same time!
i know that our papa has wonderful things in store as we prepare to go.
i am so excited anticipating how our students react when they learn we are returning. for these kids, it is unimaginable that anyone from america would visit them, let alone come back! i cannot wait to see their faces again!
first order of business is to assemble a list of potential supporters and prepare a rough draft of a support letter. oh, and master chopsticks and the art of squatting.
it's a beginning!
